The problem isn’t that people don’t believe that skills can be learned. The problem is that people don’t realize that a lot of things that we assume are natural talents are actually skills.
Drawing and painting? Music? Dance? Charisma? Entrepreneurship? Trust? Leadership?
These are all things that most people think that you’re either born with or not. But while it’s true that neurological differences might make some of those things easier to pick up, everything I listed are all skills that you can learn.
So the question isn’t whether or not you were born with the skills that you wish you had. The question is whether or not you want to put in the work to learn that skill.
