I’ll occasionally draw on myself with pens. Ballpoints, sharpies, any of the random art pens that I have lying around. Especially if I’m thinking about a new tattoo, it’s a nice way of testing out what it looks like to have a drawing on your skin.
The nice thing is that it always washes off. It might take some scrubbing, or a few washes, but it’s not permanent. Tattoos, on the other hand, are mostly permanent.
Often when we make leadership decisions we think of them as tattoos – permanent – so we often side on not making a decision for our fear of going all in. But what if you thought of them as sharpie tattoos instead? What does it look like to first try it out before making a huge commitment?
