As a kid (and maaaybe now as an adult), I would love to pick at my scabs.
Gross, I know. But there’s something incredibly pleasurable about picking at the itchy, taut new skin trying to form under the hard, crust of dried blood.
When you pick off a scab too early, you open the wound and begin to bleed again, and the process basically has to start over. It’s not a good idea if you want to heal quickly.
Where else might you forgo short-term wins for long-term success?
