Last night, I set a new personal record in Skee-Ball.
The interesting thing about a personal record is that at its core it is completely devoid of any external comparison.
Sure, you can make it about who has the highest personal record, but external comparison is something you can always add into anything.
A personal record is all about yourself, and celebrating the fact that for you what you’ve just achieved is a new milestone.
What would your life look like if you focused more on your personal record rather than how you stack up to other people?
PS – I could elaborate on the specifics of my personal record, but then it’d be about comparison, wouldn’t it?
