When you try to graphically represent trust, what do you think of?
Locks? Fences? Vaults?
It’s interesting that trust is actually often represented by the lack of trust. After all, if you truly trusted people, you wouldn’t need locks or fences or vaults.
Trust is actually an open door, a key, or an invitation.
I’m not saying we don’t need locks, fences, or vaults, but let’s just be clear that they’re needed because of the lack of trust, not the presence of it.
