Environmental Factors

Whether it’s the literal climate around you, or the tidiness of your living space, or your working environment, it’s important to understand your own tendencies and how your environment affects you.  As much as you can change it, you want to ensure that you’ve created an environment that will push you towards the life you look to be living.

If you’re concerned about work and productivity, how can you make it easier for you to get your work done?  For some, it might be getting rid of distractions and keeping your phone charger on the other side of the room.  For others, you might only be able to work while anime plays in the background, so maybe you need a second monitor setup or a television set up behind your desk.  If you’re looking to spend more together time with your family, consider how and where you use communal space.  What messages do you send by having work spread out over the dining room table, and what messages do you send by making sure all screens are out of the way during meals?

I don’t think there’s a better or worse way to craft your environment, except that you want to be mindful about what your intent is around the choices you make.
