Dragons love to horde gold. They have huge treasure stashes and love shiny objects. They don’t really do anything with it – have you ever seen a dragon buying stuff at a market?
They could distribute the gold to help society, or decide not to take the gold in the first place, especially when they have a literal mountain filled with it. But they make a choice not to.
Some people do the same with information.
Employees who never tell anyone else the technical details of the project so they’re a necessary part moving forward. Managers who keep information from their subordinates so that they can’t make progress on their career track. Owners who keep themselves as a bottleneck so they can have control over others.
Are there dragons in your life? What would it look like to slay them (metaphorically, of course)?
