Running a team or an organization is difficult. Often there will be many small problems that get ignored or pushed to the side in the pursuit of the greater goal.

And while this is understandable, you don’t want to let these issues fester. Especially if they’re things that don’t often show up on KPIs, like trust, feedback culture, or a sense of belonging.

Similarly, even though getting a cavity filled isn’t pleasant, it’s also a whole lot better than getting a root canal because you ignored the tooth decay for too long. 

So while the best remedy is prevention, you can choose to face problems head on early, or when you’re absolutely forced to because you’re in so much pain.
