Sometimes it can feel like we don’t have any agency at work, especially if we’re not high up on the organizational chart.

You might even be pushing upwards against your manager, trying to make things better but being thwarted at every turn. 

But remember that you do have agency – agency of how you choose to show up every day. 

You can coast, not make waves, and never seek to make things better. 

You can also raise Hell, fight for better, and question the status quo. 

Either way, it’s a choice you’re making. The worst thing you can do is to choose one of these paths and not understand you made a choice to take it.
